Sessions are walking portrait sessions: we meet at a starting point and shoot while strolling through the streets. We choose spots as we go, based on what you like and the mood of the day, so backgrounds and locations may change during the shoot.

Transportation within Osaka City is included. For locations outside Osaka City, a travel fee of ¥1,500 per 30 minutes of one-way travel time applies, plus actual transportation costs.

FAQ
- Is this a good idea if it's my first time in Japan?
- Definitely. A lot of my clients are first-timers, and half the fun is exploring while we shoot. You don't need to know the city. I lead the way and handle the route.
- I'm awkward in front of a camera. Do you help with posing?
- Don't worry, I'm not into stiff posing. I'll give you something to do, like look over there, lean on that wall, or you're waiting for a taxi, and catch the natural moments in between. You need no experience whatsoever, and after a few minutes of walking and talking, most people forget the camera is there.
- What happens if it rains?
- We can reschedule, or shoot anyway. Covered arcades, cafés and neon-lit streets look great in the rain. Moving the date or the location for weather costs nothing. A change for other reasons may carry a fee depending on the situation. It's your call on the day.
- Can you recommend photo locations?
- That's my favourite part. Tell me the mood you want (historic, neon, quiet backstreets, iconic) and I'll suggest spots in Osaka, Kyoto or Nara that fit and photograph beautifully.
- Can we wear kimono?
- Yes, and it looks wonderful on camera, especially in Kyoto. Rental isn't included, but I'll point you to good rental shops and we'll build the shoot around it.
- How many photos do we get?
- 25 photos for a 45-minute session and 40 for 75 minutes. Custom shoots are planned around what you need. Every delivered photo is individually finished with my Signature Edits.
- When will we get our photos?
- Within 48 hours of the shoot I send you a PDF of every frame worth keeping, with my picks already marked. Choosing is my job and you are on holiday, so if you are happy you do not have to do anything. Want to swap some, add extras, or pick your own? Send me the numbers any time before I deliver; swaps are free. The finished album follows 1 to 2 weeks after that PDF (or after your choices, if you pick yourself), as a private online album you can download and share.
- Can families or groups book?
- Absolutely. Solo or Duo can add people at ¥5,000 each, and families or bigger groups can book a custom shoot. For 5 or more people I'll send a quote. Just tell me the headcount when you book.
- Can you help us plan the route?
- Yes. For the longer sessions I map out a walking route so the locations flow and we're not backtracking. You just show up and enjoy the day.
- Do you do proposals or surprise shoots?
- I do. A proposal is booked as a custom shoot, so we plan it around your moment. Message me the plan and we'll work out the details together beforehand.
- What should we wear?
- Whatever feels like you. Solid colours read well against busy streets; bring a second outfit if you'd like variety. I'm happy to advise once we've picked the locations.
- Can I book last minute?
- Often yes, depending on the calendar. Send me your dates and I'll tell you what's open. Last minute is always worth asking about.
Cancellations & Rescheduling

- I'll do my best to accommodate date changes.
- Feel free to reach out for rain, illness, or anything else.
Paying for your session
- Payment is by card, through a Square link I send you once the details are set.
- Booking more than 6 weeks ahead? You're welcome to pay a deposit to hold your date instead of the full amount. Just ask.
- If you pay a deposit, the balance is due 10 days before the shoot.
- Otherwise, payment is in full when the booking is confirmed.
Cancellations
- 8 or more days before the shoot: no cancellation fee (a paid deposit is still kept)
- 7–2 days before: 50% of the session fee
- Day before / same day: 100% of the session fee
- We keep whichever is greater: your deposit, or the amount above. Never both.
