Osaka is home. I still haven't seen enough of it.

I started taking photos because I wanted to show my family what my everyday life in Japan looked like. One domino effect later, and somehow, I'm doing this full-time.

I'm not really into omega-level posing. I'll give you something to do, like look over there, lean on that wall, or you're waiting for a taxi, and catch the natural moments in between. Shooting with me is more like hanging out with a friend who happens to know their way around a camera. I tend to do more cinematic photography and photos that feel nostalgic, sometimes with old lenses for a film look.

Mostly I shoot street portraits around Osaka: Nakazakicho's backstreets, under the Tenma tracks, Shinsekai's neon. Night is my favourite. I shoot travellers and people who live here, and kimono as fashion, not as a souvenir photo.

I'm often travelling all around Kansai for shoots in Osaka, Kyoto, Nara and Kobe, and I go to other prefectures too, like Nagoya. I'm no stranger to Tokyo either.

To me, the best photos aren't necessarily the perfect ones. They're the ones that bring you right back to a moment and make you feel something all over again, or make you feel confident, or just good about yourself.

That's what I'm here to capture. The moment.
