By hour two it stops being a photoshoot.
Every plan: colour and exposure corrected on every delivered image, downloaded from a private online album. Prices include Japanese consumption tax.
Prices are per person. Each extra person is +¥5,000.
We shoot around one area on foot. The longer sessions leave time to walk somewhere nearby, which is where the range of backgrounds comes from.
Bring a second outfit if you want one. Changing is fine on any session, as long as it fits the time.

What the day actually looks like
We meet somewhere in the city and walk. Nobody gets stood in front of a landmark doing a thumbs up. I pick the light, the corners and the backgrounds, and I call out where to stand and what to do with your hands as we go. You do not have to invent anything.
You forget the camera is there
Most people stop noticing it within a few minutes. That is when the good frames start.

FAQ
- Is this a good idea if it's my first time in Japan?
- Definitely. A lot of my clients are first-timers, and half the fun is exploring while we shoot. You don't need to know the city. I lead the way and handle the route.
- I'm awkward in front of a camera. Do you help with posing?
- That's the whole point of booking me. I tell you where to stand, how to angle your body, what to do with your hands, where to look and when to move. That runs the whole way through. You need no experience whatsoever; thinking of the poses is my job, not yours.
- What happens if it rains?
- We can reschedule, or shoot anyway. Covered arcades, cafés and neon-lit streets look great in the rain. Moving the date or the location for weather costs nothing. A change for other reasons may carry a fee depending on the situation. It's your call on the day.
- Can you recommend photo locations?
- That's my favourite part. Tell me the mood you want (historic, neon, quiet backstreets, iconic) and I'll suggest spots in Osaka, Kyoto or Nara that fit and photograph beautifully.
- Can we wear kimono?
- Yes, and it looks wonderful on camera, especially in Kyoto. Rental isn't included, but I'll point you to good rental shops and we'll build the shoot around it.
- How many photos do we get?
- From 30 fully edited images on the Travel Portraits session up to 100 on the Half-Day. Every delivered photo is colour- and exposure-corrected.
